The Minister of Finance has just issued Decision No. 2467/QD-BTC dated November 29, 2022, annulling some decisions of the Minister of Finance on information technology application standards. This Decision takes effect from the date of signing.
Accordingly, the following decisions are annulled: Decision No. 721/QD-BTC dated May 12, 2020, of the Minister of Finance promulgating the Standard Regulations on the application of information technology in administrative agencies, and public non-business units under the Ministry of Finance. Decision No. 2327/QD-BTC dated November 10, 2017, of the Minister of Finance on the promulgation of technical standards for multimedia systems to support the direction and administration of the Ministry of Finance. The Department of Planning and Finance shall assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with the Department of Informatics and Financial Statistics, in researching and adding specialized information technology equipment to the regulations on standards and norms for the use of specialized machinery and equipment at units and systems under the Ministry of Finance.
The abolition of the above two decisions to match the movement of digital transformation in the financial sector. The Ministry of Finance sets a target that by 2025, it will establish a modern and transparent digital financial platform based on big data and open financial data. All data of the financial sector will be connected on the national public service portal, comprehensively meeting the needs of public finance transactions, and the need to exploit and use digital information of the Government, people, enterprises, and organizations.
