The Minister of Finance has just issued Decision No. 39/QD-BTC dated January 13, 2023, stipulating the standards and norms for the use of specialized areas for information technology system administration for backup in the finance industry’s Data Center. This decision takes effect from the date of signing.

Accordingly, regulations on standards and norms for the area dedicated to managing information technology systems for backup in the Data Centers of the finance industry are up to 3,582 m².

The year 2023 is defined as the "Year of Digital Data, Creating and Exploiting Data to Create New Value," so ensuring a dedicated area for the Data Center of the finance industry is an inevitable need, in order to better serve people, and enterprises, and build digital finance.

According to the Government's Decree No. 152/2017/ND-CP dated December 27, 2017, stipulating standards and norms for the use of working offices and non-business establishments, the specialized area is used to serve specific activities of agencies and organizations; including the area used for receiving and returning administrative dossiers, meeting people, and managing information technology systems; large hall (100 or more seats); Areas used for trial and interrogation activities in the headquarters of judicial agencies; the transaction area of the system of state banks and state treasuries; Specialized warehouses such as the National Reserve, money, gold, silver, precious stones, precious metals, valuable documents, and other assets as required to perform specific tasks of the industry; other areas serve specific tasks of agencies and organizations (if any). Ministries and central agencies shall promulgate standards and norms for the use of special-use areas after obtaining agreement in writing from the Ministry of Finance (for centrally-managed agencies and organizations); provincial-level people's committees shall promulgate standards and norms for the use of special-use areas after obtaining the written consent of the Standing Committee of the People's Council of the same level (for locally-managed agencies and organizations).
