That is the direction of the Ministry of Finance in Notice No. 325/TB-BTC dated March 13, 2023 assigning the implementation of the Resolution of the Government’s regular meeting in February 2023.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Finance assigns Department I, Department of Tax Policy, General Department of Taxation, Department of Financial Informatics and Statistics, General Department of Customs and other units and agencies, based on their assigned functions and tasks, to implement drastically, effectively as well as promptly coordinating with ministries, branches and localities to implement the tasks assigned by the Prime Minister at the Directive No. 05/CT-TTg dated February 23, 2023 on strengthening the implementation of Project on development of national population database, electronic identification and authentication for national digital transformation in 2022-2025 period, with vision to 2030 in ministries, branches and localities in 2023 and following years.

Department I shall assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with the Department of Public Administration, the Department of State Budget and relevant units to consult the Ministry in submitting to competent authorities for priority allocation of funds from the central budget to ministries and branches in order to effectively and successfully implement the Project on development of national population database, electronic identification and authentication for national digital transformation in 2022-2025 period, with vision to 2030.

The Department of Financial Informatics and Statistics shall assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with relevant agencies and units in connecting specialized information systems, databases of the Ministry of Finance with the directing and operating information center of the Government and Prime Minister; sharing socio-economic information and data monitored by the Ministry of Finance with ministries, central and local agencies in order to effectively use databases for consulting, proposing, policy planning and providing best service to people and businesses.

The General Department of Taxation shall assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with relevant units and agencies in continuing to implement solutions to closely manage revenue sources, ensuring correct, sufficient and timely collection, especially from e-commerce, digital platforms, food services, retail stores..., preventing against loss of revenue.

At the Government's regular meeting in February 2023, the Government directed the Ministry of Finance to assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with agencies and localities: to continue implementing solutions to strictly manage revenue sources, ensuring correct, sufficient and timely collection, especially from e-commerce, digital platforms, food services, retail stores...; strengthen the fight against loss of revenue; thoroughly practise thrift, cut down regular expenses and/or non-urgent spending.
