The News Department of Research and Financial Statistics works together with relevant units each year to edit and publish the Annual Report of the Ministry of Finance. This is done following the regulations outlined in Decision No. 1322/QD-BTC dated June 10, 2016, by the Minister of Finance. These regulations state the requirements for publishing the Statistical Yearbook and Annual Report of the Ministry of Finance.
The Ministry of Finance publishes an annual report that showcases financial statistics highlighting the operational results of various departments. These departments include budget management, tax policy, legal work, foreign affairs activities, Customs, Taxation, Treasury, Securities, Reserves, price management, debt management, modernization work, and staff organization. The report provides a comprehensive overview of Vietnam's Finance sector, covering planning, management, and administration. The 2022 edition of the Ministry of Finance annual report is available in both Vietnamese and English and consists of two parts: (1) articles and (2) a data table covering the fields managed by the Ministry of Finance.
Part I includes 22 articles that discuss various topics:
1. The world's economic-financial situation in 2022 and forecast.
2. Highlights of Vietnam's economy in 2022 and outlook for 2023.
3. The work of building and perfecting legal institutions and Finance policies.
4. Operating a flexible fiscal policies, ensure social security.
5. Tax policy solutions to support people and businesses.
6. Tax Authorities completed the assigned tasks in 2022.
7. The reform of administrative procedure in the Finance sector.
8. Promoting customs administrative procedure reforms and fighting against illegal trade and smuggling.

Part II of the Annual Report comprises 15 statistical tables containing general economic and financial data, including information about investments, export and import industries, consumer price index, state budget balancing, revenue and expenditure structure, revenue and expenditure development index, debt figures, stock data, and statistics on the number of taxpayers.
