The Center for Technological Transfer and Technical Support - Department of Financial Informatics and Statistics, Ministry of Finance had, in last months of 2023, coordinated with the State Treasury, Financial Departments of Kien Giang and Binh Thuan provinces to organize 02 training courses on the Treasury and Budget Management Information System (TABMIS) for users in 2 above-said provinces.

The training courses took place from November 29, 2023 to December 1, 2023 in Kien Giang and from December 6, 2023 to December 8, 2023 in Binh Thuan, with participation of professional staff from communal and district financial and planning sub-departments in the two provinces. The training courses aims at providing, updating and consolidating knowledge on the TABMIS to meet requirements of financial and planning units on using the system in performance of their professional work.
The training courses focus on major professional contents of the treasury and budget management information system, including: Budget Allocation Management (Budget input function; Budget allocation and adjustment function; Budget import using ADI spreadsheet); Ledger (payment orders on Ledger); Expenditure Management … Discussions and exchanges on knowledge, experiences, arising problems and settlement thereof during the system implementation have also been conducted at the training courses.
Regular updating, consolidating knowledge on the treasury and budget management (TABMIS) for professional staff is very necessary as the system requires accurate implementation in compliance with unified regulations of the Ministry of Finance.
However, due to prolonged epidemic in the past time, plus changes in professional staff (such as retire, rotation..), it has made difficulties to conduct trainings on the Finance Ministry’s IT application programs in general and TABMIS system in particular in localities.
Therefore, the training courses conducted by the Center for Technological Transfer and Technical Support - Department of Financial Informatics and Statistics in cooperation with the State Treasury and provincial Financial Departments have provided prompt support for professional staff to fulfill their assigned tasks in utilization, exploitation and operation of TAMIS system.
Delivering speech at training course, Ms. Bui Thi Hong Thuy, Deputy Director of Financial Department of Binh Thuan province assessed: "Along with IT application programs deployed by the Ministry of Finance and localities in recent times, the TABMIS system makes an important contribution to building a modern financial management information system as well as to the digital transformation of the Finance sector”. She also appreciated the training organized by the Center for Technological Transfer and Technical Support - Department of Financial Informatics and Statistics, the active participation of professional staff, especially from remote communes of the province in a very busy time at the year end. She believed, after the training, professional staff of financial and planning units shall exploit and utilize the system more effectively.
