Minister Ho Duc Phoc visited Mr. Marc E. Knapper, the US Ambassador to Vietnam early on December 20 at the Ministry of Finance headquarters. Leaders of several functional units under the Ministry of Finance were also present for the meeting.

Deputy Minister of Finance Vo Thanh Hung met and conducted a working session with Mr. Leng Peng Long, Secretary General of the Cambodian National Assembly, at the Ministry of Finance's headquarters on December 1st in the afternoon. Leaders of many functional units within the Ministry of Finance were also present during the conference.

Mr. Ngo Viet Trung, Director of the Department of Insurance Management and Supervision, recently spoke at a press conference about the importance of Circular No. 67/2023/TT-BTC (Circular 67). This circular provides detailed guidance on several articles of the Law on Insurance Business and Decree No. 46/2023/ND-CP and is expected to improve the system of insurance business activities. Circular No. 67 also includes regulations that aim to enhance the overall quality of insurance consulting services, especially those provided through credit institutions and foreign bank branches. By implementing these regulations, the performance of insurance agencies is expected to be elevated.

On November 13, a meeting was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Finance. Deputy Minister of Finance, Nguyen Duc Chi, met with Mr. Riccardo Puliti, the Vice President in charge of the Asia-Pacific Region, and Mr. John F. Gandolfo, the Deputy Vice President and Chairman in charge of treasury of the International Finance Corporation (IFC). The meeting was attended by representatives from various units under the Ministry of Finance and several experts from the IFC Office in Vietnam.

Deputy Minister of Finance Vo Thanh Hung met with Mr. Shantanu Chakraborty, the Country Director of Phat Bank development (ADB) in Vietnam, on November 9 at the Ministry of Finance's offices, as well as experts from both sides and representatives of the unit's commanders.

Deputy Minister of Finance Vo Thanh Hung met Governor Hayashi Nobumitsu of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) on the afternoon of November 7 on a working visit to Vietnam. Meeting attendees included Mr. Hidaka Yoshihito, current representative of the Japanese embassy in Vietnam; leaders of many functional divisions of the Vietnamese Ministry of Finance in a representative capacity.
